At 8:00 AM, an EJS engineer received a call from Land-O-Lakes, Dairyman's Division. They had an expansion joint failure and needed a replacement immediately. Within an hour, drawings and an estimate were delivered, approved and the customer's airplane was on the way to the EJS plant. By 4:00 PM the same day, a 6" single flanged expansion joint left Gillespie Filed Airport (located 100 feet behind EJS's manufacturing facility) to Tulare, California for immediate installation.
