That’s why we were pleased when we were presented with the opportunity to work with Stone & Webster to provide some of the largest FCCU expansion joints for the Robinson Optimization Project in Illinois.

In June 2000, EJS was proudly awarded the contract to manufacture the FCCU expansion joints for Marathon Ashland's Robinson Optimization project in Illinois. The project consisted of several refractory lined expansion joints that ranges in size from 44" diameter to 96" diameter with weights from 13,000 to 28,000 pounds. EJS worked with Stone & Webster to coordinate this project successfully. As one of it's largest producing refineries, the Robinson Illinois plant's crude capacity is 192,000 bpcd.

MAP was formed Jan. 1, 1998, from the downstream operations of its long established parent companies, Marathon Oil Company and Ashland Inc. MAP ranks as the sixth-largest petroleum refiner in the United States and is a consistent leader in the refining industry in several performance measures including refinery yields, operating efficiencies, and adjusted operating-income per barrel of crude oil throughput.
